Randall Contracting are proud to have been involved in the delivery of two new Synchronous Condenser Units for Uniper UK at their Grain Power Station site in Kent. The units, with equipment supplied and installed by Siemens Energy, have now come into commercial operation and are providing inertia and voltage control services to ensure output from more renewable energy generation sources, such as wind and solar, is maintained at the correct frequency to be connected to the National Grid. The delivery of this project is a fantastic achievement and plays a vital role in stabilising the grid in Great Britain.
Randall Contracting were on site at the very start of the project, installing the complex foundations and infrastructure in readiness for the installation of Siemens equipment and were on site for the duration of the project, providing attendance throughout and finally completing the access roads, footpaths and hard landscaping.
